Supporting Our Heroes Together
We’ve Got Your Six on the Gulf Coast
Join us in honoring veterans and first responders while fostering community support and crisis intervention training through impactful events like the Miles for Heroes 5K.

Awareness
We shine a light on the unseen battles veterans and first responders face, ensuring no one’s struggles go unnoticed.

Action
We step in with practical support, crisis training, and resources that turn awareness into real impact.

Community
We build bonds that last — creating a network of hope, resilience, and shared strength across the Gulf Coast.
This year, IGY6 Gulf Coast is on a mission to raise $8,000 to fund Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) for local police departments.
Every dollar helps train officers to respond to mental health crises with empathy, skill, and confidence — saving lives and protecting the people they serve.
Together, we can equip those who serve with the tools they need to make a lasting difference on the Gulf Coast.
When IGY6 reaches this year’s goal:
- 3 departments along the Gulf Coast will receive funded Crisis Intervention Training.
- Over 60 officers will be trained in mental health awareness, communication, and de-escalation.
- Those officers will collectively respond to 10,000+ calls per year, meaning lives will be changed — and saved — through this training.

“At nearly every community event, someone comes forward — a spouse who lost their loved one to suicide, or a veteran who once felt like giving up. They tell us they kept fighting because they saw our message. Because for the first time, they realized they weren’t alone — that someone in their community truly had their six.” – IGY6 – Gulf Coast Team Member
You don’t have to wear a uniform to save a life.
Most people in crisis show signs before they reach a breaking point
— we just have to know what to look for.
By learning to recognize the warning signs of suicide and how to respond,
you can make a difference when it matters most.
Together, we can build a community that’s trained, aware, and
ready to have someone’s six.
